This beautiful young lady has accepted a call to go to the Philippines Olongapo Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the next year and a half. She will report to the Missionary Training Center in Provo Utah this coming Wednesday and after a few weeks of language training will head to the Philippines where she will spend her time teaching the people there of Christ and doing community service.
Of her mission Ashton said: “I’ve been trying to focus on why I am doing this and why I decided to do this in the first place no matter where the Lord wanted me to go. And I wanted that reason to be because I’m doing this for him and I wanted to be able to have the incredible opportunity to help people come closer to Christ and to help them understand that they are loved no matter how many times I get rejected and what different backgrounds they come from. With that is my testimony of Jesus Christ and I know that he loves each and every one of us no matter what.”
