One question we are often asked as senior picture photographers is, “What is the best season for senior pictures?” And we have to say, “The best season for taking senior pictures is your favorite season, whatever that may be”.
Most high schools require the yearbook picture to be submitted sometime in the fall, but we have got you covered. If your favorite season is not summer or fall, in order to meet your yearbook submission deadlines, feel free to split your session at no extra charge, so we take the yearbook picture in time to have it submitted by the school deadline, and then have the actual session taken during your favorite season, in your favorite clothing, along with your favorite props.
This beautiful senior loves winter and wanted her senior portraiture taken in the winter time with plenty of snow. However, the school deadline for a yearbook picture was in the fall, so we did a quick yearbook session here at our Brighton home studio in the fall, to get her chosen picture submitted to the yearbook on time. In most cases the yearbook picture would be an indoor picture with a traditional blue, gray or brown background, but because her high school did not require a traditional style yearbook picture, she was able to have a few colorful fall pictures to choose from besides the one she chose for the yearbook.
There will not likely be much snow now that we are almost into April, but for those of you who love spring, now is the perfect time to book your senior picture session whether you are graduating this year or next year.
